The Nashville Sounds is doing "Bark in The Park" differently this year (They've actually renamed it "Tail Waggin' Tuesday". This year, they have 8 Tuesday games and all 8 of those games are "Bark in The Park". We have planned to attend 3 of these games: 4/21, 5/19 and June 9. We feel that after early June, it'll be too hot for these pups to be out in the heat since there's no covered area for them to go. Also, the seating area has changed. Bark seats are now in the Vanderbilt Health section, which is to the right of the scoreboard/right beside The Band Box. They only have 200 tickets per game and the seating is open, so 1st come 1st serve basis (However, we've never sat in our actual seats when we have gone). We will tentatively plan to attend these games, unless the weather is bad.

We're excited about our 2nd Wall Crawl and hope that you are too! We have several wall murals that we will go to so you can snap a photo of your Cavalier. We will also do our best to get a group shot at each mural as well! Here's some more info:

When: Saturday, September 22 at 8am

Where: The Gulch

Parking: There is street parking throughout this neighborhood. However, there is a public parking lot where you can pay. This lot is at the corner of 11th Ave S and Pine Street. The lot is across the street from Bar Louie, Barry's Bootcamp and Taziki's. 

Agenda: We will meet at the parking lot above at 8am.

Swim times have been announced!  **All swim sessions are as space allows. Please arrive early to ensure you get in. As the event grows, it is possible that the pool space will fill up and ticket sales will end early. 

10:30am - 12pm - Small Dogs (30lbs & under)

12:30pm - 2pm - All Dogs/All Sizes

2:30pm - 4pm - Large Dogs (30lbs + Over)

Nashville Paw Magazine and the Sumner County YMCA are excited to announce their 8th annual Canine Summer Splash, Middle Tennessee’s popular doggie pool party! Bring out your pooch pals to run, play, splash and swim in the fully-fenced, zero-entry outdoor pool and spray fountains. It’s like a day at the dog park—but with lots of water! This unique event welcomes over 300 dogs 600 humans each year! 

 We would love for our Nashville Cavaliers to come out and swim during the Small Dog Swim Session, time TBD. Admission is $15 CASH per dog. A portion of event proceeds benefits the Sumner County YMCA’s “Learn to Swim” program.

***Event is CASH ONLY at the door. 

***Must show either a current rabies tag or rabies certificate for EACH dog in order to particpate. A printout from your vet clinic showing the date your dog was vaccinated for rabies will suffice.

We had an awesome time at this event last year and are looking forward to it again! Last year, we bought 24 tickets all together. We never made it to our seats. We stayed up in the main corridor area behind the seats and enjoyed each others company and watched the game. Below is all the information for the event and how to purchase tickets. Paws crossed there will be great weather that evening!

On Tuesday, May 8, the Sounds take on the Colorado Springs Sky Sox at 6:35 p.m., and the first 1,000 fans (age 21 or older) arriving at the ballpark will receive a FREE dog toy, presented by Tito's Handmade Vodka.

For each Bark in the Park game, seating sections 101-104 will be set aside for all dogs and their owners in attendance. Dogs will not be allowed into the additional seating sections at First Tennessee Park. All dogs must enter through the Right Field gate entrance behind the guitar scoreboard. All fans are asked to only bring well-behaved, social, and leashed dogs to the ballpark. The Sounds will provide bowls of water for the dogs.

To be a part of this memorable night at First Tennessee Park, all dog owners will have to sign a waiver ( Click here to print form ) and present proof of updated rabies vaccinations for their dog prior to entering the ballpark. All dogs must be kept on a leash while inside the ballpark and owners must promptly bag and dispose of any waste created by their dog. Other important ballpark reminders can be found here.

Tickets start at $14 for owners ($9 for human; $5 for dog) who want to enjoy a Sounds game with their canine companion. Proceeds for the May 8 dates benefit AGAPE Animal Rescue.
